New DKP Rules and Procedures Effective August 21, 2008 (submitted by admin at 10:10am EST)

These are the new DKP policies and procedures, effective August 21, 2008.

Fates Unbroken uses a Flat Hourly DKP system for the distribution of DKP loot items. Raiders will earn DKP “points” every raid they attend, which they can use to bid on items that drop in an auction format. If you have any question or concerns regarding these policies, you may provide them in the “DKP Feedback” thread in the DKP section.

DKP Calculation

Logs will be kept on every raid for attendance. The DKP officer or any officer on the raid if asked will perform this. Logs will be posted under the DKP section in a timely fashion after every raid.

One Ontime Log will be taken at the raid start time. (i.e. Monday 8pm EST, Saturday 1pm EST)

-Everyone on the Ontime log will receive 1 DKP point.

One log will be taken at the Actual Raid start time then Every Hour, or Every Target afterwards at the discretion of the officer taking the log. Everyone on the log will receive DKP points according to the type of target or raid.

• Epic Targets = 1 DKP
• Farming Targets/Raids 1 DKP
• Progression Raids = 2 DKP
• First Time Kill = 2 DKP

One final Log will be taken at the End of the Raid when the Raid leader declares the raid Ended.

-Everyone on the End of Raid log will receive 1 DKP point.

The officers/ raid leader retain the right, at their Discretion, to award a DKP bonus for Exceptional kills. The officers reserve the right to adjust said DKP bonus, at their discretion.

The DKP officer or officer taking the log must be notified about any raider Linkdead and time of their return to ensure validity of the logs. Anyone LD and does not return will not be included in any logs after their Linkdeath.

***Raid Leader, DKP officer, officers hold the right to add/ remove any person from the Logs in regards to thier attendance. (ie LD, not in zone, joining/ leaving raid, afk Ect)***

On raids that we have restricted numbers, such as Emoush and Kangur, DKP will be earned by those asked to leave the raid to get to the minimum number.

Earning DKP, Raider classification and definition

Any Fates Unbroken member, Ally or Friend that raids with us is eligible to earn DKP. We value our allies and raiding friends and recognize that is has taken everyone that raids with us for us to progress as far as we have, and will help us progress in the future.

All members/allies must declare a main/primary character. Only Main characters will receive DKP. You may change your declaration of Main one time only with no penalty. You may declare changes in your main more than once, but will forfeit any DKP earned up until that point. All Mains will have first priority for flags and loot.

Raiders are classified and defined by the following:

• (Full Members) Any Fates Unbroken member that has been a part of the guild at least 30 days
• (Applicants) Any Fates Unbroken member who had applied and received a guild tag but has not yet been with the guild over 30 days .
• (Ally) Any non- Fates Unbroken raider that achieves and maintains 20% raid attendance over a 90 day period. This is not automatic and the title of Ally would be given at the discretion of the officers and noted as such on the dkp page.
• (Alternates) You may bring an alternate character to a DKP raid with the permission of the Raid Leader.
• (Twinks) other characters that are played by a member. Typically will never be asked to participate in a raid

Alternates/twinks will receive No DKP. The DKP officer must be notified of the owner of the alternate character on the raid. If the raid leader requests an Alternate to be brought to a raid to fill certain needed classes, the Main will receive DKP.

• (2-boxing) 2-boxing characters are not encouraged at raids. We would like your full focus on one character during encounters. Two boxed characters may be allowed with the permission or request of the raid leader. Only the primary character will receive DKP.

Any Fates Unbroken member that chooses to de-guild will loose any and all DKP points accrued to the point of their de-guilding. If a former member rejoins within a reasonable time, determined by the officers on a case-by-case basis, those points may be reinstated. Any member that leaves in good standing may gain Ally status and start earning DKP points again, but still forfeit all previous points.

Loot, DKP spending and bidding procedure

• (Droppable or Attuneable items) These are not DKP items and will be awarded based on merit or randomed as decided by the raid leader/officers.
• (Runes and Spells) These are not DKP items and will be awarded based on merit or randomed as decided by the raid leader/officers.
• (No-Drop Items) These are DKP items and will be awarded by the bidding process explained below. Any No-Drop items that drop during a “Fun raid” or spontaneous raid will be awarded based on the discretion of the raid leader.
• (Key or Flag items) These are not DKP items and will be awarded by the officers unless the raid leader specifies otherwise. Quest items will be will be looted based on quest progress, random rolls or any other method determined by the raid leader.
• (Loot Restrictions) Some loot may be restricted to specific classes due to an effect that the officers deem is more beneficial for that class.
• Items are given minimum and maximum values based on quality of drops, and farm status
• Duplicate items that are dropped by raid targets will be auctioned one at a time. In order to be able to bid on the second item that drops, you must at least announce a bid on the first item. (announce intent to bid on second one by at least announcing a minimum bid on the first)

Disclaimer: The raid leader retains the right to deviate for the above guidelines as he feels the situation may warrant.

Loot is assigned values based on the following tiers:

Tier / % raid attendance/ Bid Values

Tier 3 / 40%Full Members/15min 70max
Tier 2 /20%Full Members /5min 60max
Tier 1 /open to all/1min 50max

The attendance restriction is based on raid attendance as of 60 days before the date of the raid. This percentage may increase or decrease depending on raid size, or progression at the discretion of the officers.

At the time that a DKP loot item drops, the raid leader or officer handling loot will notify the raid of the item and will have those eligible to bid call their bids into the "FUraids" channel.
-Example: Officer tells the raid, “Aegis of Blackscales, Tier 3, 15 minimum 70 maximum, FM 40%,"

Bidding Process:

Gear:

Full members/ approved cleric bots at 40% attendance will be given first priority for loot.
Then Full Members at 20% attendance, at 2nd priority.
Then Full Members at 0% attendance and Applicants, at 3rd priority.
Then Open bidding to All eligible bidders on raid before the item rots.
Once rot is called, the item then becomes available for bidding to twinks.

Twinks will need to be moved quickly to the instance or raid zone so as to not hold up the raid.

General Augs:

Full Members (no attendance restrictions) and Applicants, at 1st priority.
Then Open bidding to All eligible bidders on raid before the item rots.

In both cases, Eligible Bidder includes Alts (including bots such as Pipemaker) that were asked to come to the raid, Allies, and those that are in "limbo" in their application (just put in an app but have not received approval from the recruit committee).

-The bidding process will be done smoothly and quickly via open bidding, once the officer has directed the bidding to start.
-If you wish to bid on the item, announce the amount you wish to bid inside the proper channel along with a link of the item when directed to do so. All raiders are responsible for knowing their DKP.

-Example:

Officer tells the raid, “The item is Aegis of Blackscales, with a minimum value of 15 and maximum of 70. You may begin bidding.”
Raider 1 tells FUraids, “30 Aegis of Blackscales”
Raider 2 tells FUraids, “40 Aegis of Blackscales”
Raider 3 tells FUraids, “50 Aegis of Blackscales”
Raider 1 tells FUraids, “70 Aegis of Blackscales”
Officer tells the raid, “Raider 1 at 70, going once”
Officer tells the raid, “Raider 1 at 70, going twice”
Officer tells the raid, “Grats to Raider 1 on Aegis of Blackscales at 70 DKP”

-/tell the DKP officer or someone they direct you to if you are unsure about how much DKP you have.
-Highest bid will win the item.
-Highest current total DKP will break all ties if more than one bidder bids the maximum.
-You may NOT bid more than the overall DKP that you have, if you do, you will be disqualified from the item.
-The only time you may bid on them item for higher than your overall DKP you have is if it is announced as such by an officer. This does not include items for twinks.
-You may NOT bid on any item, including items for a twink, if your current DKP total is negative.
-You may NOT pass an item that you have won onto someone else or withdraw from looting said item after you have won the auction. In both cases the individual will be responsible for their winning bid AND the item will be re-auctioned.

DKP Decay Implementation
In the event that a member drops below 10% raid attendance over 90 day period, they will be charged a 20% DKP per month penalty that they remain below 10%. IE: If you drop below 10% in July and Remain below 10% until September you will be charged 20% for 3 separate months. .20 X total for July, then .20 X total in August, then .20 X total in September. This will continue monthly until the 90 day average is back above 10%.

Maintaining 10% attendance over 90 days consists of about 20 logs(we take 5 logs per raid night) or about 4 full nights of raiding in a 90 day period.

The officers reserve the right to wave this rule in extreme circumstances

Mis-Looted Items
Any raider that loots without permission from an officer will be charged a 30 DKP penalty plus the winning bid amount of the item(if GM wont return item to winning bidder). Penalty will be reduced to 30 DKP only if GM DOES return the item to winning bidder. If a raider falls below 0 after the penalty, they will not be allowed to bid on any loot as per DKP rules. Non-guild members, in addition to the DKP penalty, may be removed from the raid and barred from future raiding at the officers' discretion. In all cases, the officers retain the right to modify or augment this penalty as deemed necessary.

**Amended 4/10/07**
Anyone raider that loots without permission from an officer will be charged the maximum DKP for that item and incur a 100 DKP deduction as penalty.
A slight change to the "A raider will be held responsible for any bid he/she makes on an item, even if that raider cannot use that item." rule.

If the item is lore, and a person wins that owns the item already, they will be penalized the amount they bid and the next highest person will be allowed to loot.
